Our youth group is preparing to travel to Tijuana, Mexico, with a desire not simply to complete projects, but to love, serve, and build meaningful relationships with people in the name of Jesus Christ.

During our time there, we will have the opportunity to help build homes for local families, providing a tangible reminder that they are seen and cared for. We will spend time at a local orphanage, investing relationally in the children and preparing a meal for them.

We will also partner with a local pastor as we enter an impoverished community to distribute sandwiches, pray with people, and share the hope of the gospel. Our prayer is that this trip would not only meet practical needs, but that through every conversation, meal, act of service, and relationship, people would experience the love and compassion of Christ.

This trip marks our church's first investment with Radius International, an organization that our leadership knows and trusts to take care of our students and has been recommended by other partnering churches. The organization specializes in equipping missionaries to serve in contexts where the Gospel doesn't exist.

While our students are there serving the Tijuana community, Radius will be serving our students by taking time each day to pour into them and educate them about missions. We’re excited and hopeful that this trip will educate our students about how they can be involved in the Great Commission, open our students eyes to the work God is doing, not just in Tijuana, but around the entire world, and maybe even awaken a desire for missions within the high school students at our church.

The funds we raise will make this ministry possible by helping cover the costs of flights, lodging, van rentals, building materials, and ministry supplies, including the food we prepare and distribute. Every gift, no matter the amount, will play a part in equipping our students to serve and in allowing us to come alongside the local church and community in Tijuana.
